A leading global e-commerce fashion shopping destination that works with over a 1000 retailers and brands across the world is looking for a highly “Commercial Director” to step into a Managing Director role for the UK.
The Managing Director profile will ideally be a Commercial Director (type) looking to step into a MD role but other profiles would be considered. The MD will lead a team of circa 10 people and report to the Group CEO based in the US
The Commercial/Sales/ Managing Director will have multi-million P&L ownership of the UK market and he/she will lead a team tasked with expanding revenue via retailer/brands and third-party partnerships as well as proactive paid and unpaid marketing activities. The candidate will have past e-commerce experience, ideally in a commercial or sales role, and have managed a small to medium-sized team.
Past e-commerce experience working in a senior commercial role
Clear evidence of managing and motivating a team
A proven track record of past multinational strategic work
Ability to understand and translate web analysis into successful online strategies
Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving industry
Results-orientated and goal driven with an outstanding record of achievement in current/past positions
Decisive and able to implement objectives/processes quickly in a structured manner
Effective time management and organization skills
Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
Comfort presenting to C-level contacts
Team player and willing to pitch in to accomplish the goals of the organization
Passion, integrity and energy
Proven English skills – both written and verbal
Educated to degree level or equivalent
