A truly fantastic opportunity for a high growth Commercial / Business Development or Strategy Director to join a “market leading” online/mobile consumer marketplace in the UK as CCO – Chief Commercial Officer.  With new fresh X millions funding, product market fit truly established and 100% YoY growth, this is a consumer digital technology marketplace that is ready to scale to the next level!

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO or Commercial Director will be responsible for the creation of the business commercial strategy, direct delivery of new revenue streams and ensuring functional alignment to meet this client’s commercial objectives.


  • Develop, strategic ownership and direct execution of the Commercial strategy
  • Communicate commercial strategy, vision and opportunities internally (team and at board / investor level) and externally
  • Strategic ownership & direct management of the business development function
  • Create, deliver and FUNCTIONALISE new revenue streams that enhance the company vision and commercial objectives
  • Work across product, marketing and both the supply & customer side of the business and evaluate cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term objectives
  • Represent the business in senior commercial negotiations with current and potential partners
  • Recruit and develop team members, evolve team structure and processes


  • A Senior commercial, strategy or business development role ideally in a high growth digital technology business
  • A charismatic strategy leader who can demonstrate real “direct commercial impact and contribution” on a digital business that has encountered high growth
  • Ability to create the commercial strategy, prioritise opportunities and build capability to deliver over multiple areas & channels in tandem
  • Test and learn style of execution
  • Ability to test & measure new revenue ‘concepts’ and quickly ‘functionalise’ on success – e.g.- Brand Partnerships, Loyalty Schemes
  • Excellent communication and presentational skills combined with strong strategic & commercial acumen
  • Desire to push the boundaries of convention to drive this business as a stand-out & unique proposition


This role will suit either a Digital or Technology focused Commercial Director or Business Development Director looking for their next step into a CCO role of a business that is looking to scale.
